Coaching is an investment in yourself and in your future.

We are fee only coaches.  We never sell you a financial service product and receive a commission.  So you do not have to worry that our advice is biased.  (In fact, if we do receive a commission or kick back from referring you to ING Direct for banking, we will send you the $10 or donate it to the charity of your choice).  Our goal is not to sell you a financial product or a get-rich-quick-scheme.  Our goal to help you start living by time test proven principles that beat debt and build wealth.

Your greatest investment in coaching will not be financial.  Your greatest investment will be in paid in the form of hard work.  Our job is to help you change you.  We do this through motivation and education.

Your financial investment in coaching is driven by several factors.  Income, current economic situation, future economic factors, family size, etc.  We price our packages on the value we deliver as coaches.  Every single package is designed for the client to see a real return on investment by the 3rd or 4th month if you follow our advice.

We realize the clients need to be good stewards of the money God has given them.  That being said, we only quote ballpark figures for your coaching investment.  We need to get involved with your life and your money before we can get you a specific quote.  We offer two basic coaching plans.

  1. Single Session Coaching – $395.  Spend up to 2 hours with a coach to understand your situation, get an assessment of the issues you face and get pointed in the right direction.  Discounts are not applicable to single session coaching packages.
  2. Package coaching – Coaching packages are generally the best course of action.  Under a coaching package, clients discuss their immediate financial concerns and their long range goals.  During the sessions the coach will make some assessments and provide some direction on additional topics or areas the clients may want to address.  Coaching packages are based on income.  For every $10,000 of gross household income we help our clients manage, we charge $95.  Discounts may apply to this rate.  We suggest all potential clients read our FAQ.
  3. We are not a finance company.  Our job is to get you OUT of debt.  Not become a creditor on your debt snowball.  We require payment upfront before services are rendered.

How do we proceed?  What is the process?

Step 1.  Read our website. Read our blog posts.  Read our pages.  Get a great feel for who we are and how we can best serve your family.

Step 2.  Reach out and contact us. We love coaching.  It is our passion and why God allows us to stay on His earth!  We have found that our best clients want our services just as much as we want to serve them.  If there are any questions that our web site doesn’t answer, ask!  A member of our staff will be glad to assist you in selecting the right coaching partner.  You will need to speak with a member of our staff to move forward.

Step 3.  Interview a member of our coaching team. We’re more than happy to schedule a 20 minute phone interview and consultation.  We want to interview you to see what challenges you may be facing.  We also want you to interview your potential coach.  We suggest asking each other about:  about family life? formal education? life experiences? what baby step?  how long did it take you to get there?  What struggles and trials have you over come in life?  What are your financial goals?     Please note:  We do not answer any specific financial questions, make referrals, or complete any coaching tasks with prospective clients over the phone.

  • If the coach determines you may be a good candidate for coaching, you will be e-mailed some forms to fill out and can set an appointment for your initial coaching assessment.
  • We are professional wealth coaches.  We know most families are spending that much each month on any one of these catagories:  500 channels of nothing-to-watch-cable TV, entertainment, unlimited talk time on the cell phone you never use, beer or pizza.  Most people will spend more than that for themselves a Christmas gift.  We set this price low enough that you or your spouse does not have any excuses.  Each of those categories can be detrimental to your health and wealth.  Why not invest it on something that can lead to a totally life changing experience?

Step 4:  Gather Data & Return it To Us. We need you to tell us about your financial situation and gather the necessary data we need to evaluate.  We need to receive the forms at least 48 hours before your initial coaching session.  If we do not receive the forms in that time frame, we will cancel that appointment.

Step 5:  Initial Coaching Assessment. A good financial planner and life coach is like a good primary care physician.  Our job is to evaluate, handle the general issues and get you to a specialist if the situation calls for a specialist.  The goal of this session is three fold.

  1. Answer all of the specific coaching questions you may have on a high level that drove you to see us.  Once you fill out the forms, come to this session and pay the initial coaching assessment fee.  You are a client.  We do not hold back.  This session is not a “free consultation.”  Most often, “free consultations” are nothing more than a hyped-up sales pitch for some bill of goods the client may or may not need.  Our approach is straight forward old fashioned customer service without all the hype.
  2. Gather more data.  We’re going to ask a lot of questions about the data that is on the returned forms.  We seek first to understand the hows and why that lead to your current situation.  We’re going to ask questions about how money impacts your marriage, your value system, your spiritual life, your history with money, and take an emotional temperature.  Our joke is that we won’t get in your bedroom whatsoever.  However, we will get all up in your checkbook.
  3. Determine next steps.  Who do you need to see next?  Do you need other professional services?  What areas of improvement are suitable for coaching?

Step 6:  Where do we go from here? Our clients leave the initial coaching assessment feeling incredibly good about the investment they made thus far and they leave feeling very well served.  After the initial coaching assessment, the coach-client relationship will head down one of three paths.

  1. Continue on with hourly coaching.  You pay for each session you schedule.  Pay as you set appointments.
  2. Goal Based Coaching Packages.  We set educational goals and achievement goals.  Both are required to win at life and money.  You can set an achievement goal of being debt free in 24 months, but unless you set educational goals to learn how to write a budget you can live on, how to deal with creditors and collectors, how marriage and marketing impacts your financial life, you will never reach your achievement goals.
  3. We shake hands.  I thank you for your business and the opportunity to serve you.  We leave as friends.  You have only made a minimal investment and will have still received thousands of dollars worth of excellent financial tips and techniques.

About 2/3rd of the people choose to optimize their life and money with a 6 month coaching package.  Our typical session is limited to 90 minutes (because experience has taught us, that is about the maximum length of time somebody can focus on life and money issues).  Anything beyond 90 minutes really does not accomplish much.  We offer unlimited in-person coaching at our coaching offices. Most people choose a coaching package because it is the most economical way to receive services.  Our lead coach has about 2000 paid hours clocked toward his Certified Financial Planner designation.  The program requires 6000 paid hours to gain the certification.  We honestly do not mind going above and beyond to serve our clients.
